The rapid industrialization and globalization developed an environment for the free flow of information and technology through various means in and around the globe. Technical education is one of the components of the human resource development and has been taking a longer stride achieving quality and quantity in delivering system effectively. Sri Manakula Vinayagar Polytechnic College is the seventh educational institution established by Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust in the year 2011 to offer 3 year Diploma education exclusively for imparting the best and the most effective technical education to the weaker and down trodden sections of the society. Our Institution got a mission to develop quality man power to cater the need of industries in the state and country.

Location

Sri Manakula Vinayagar Polytechnic College is situated in SMVMCH campus sprawling across 5.09 acres of land lies middle of Puducherry – Villupuram NH-45 Road at Madagadipet. This location is easily accessible from Villupuram, Tindivanam, Marakkanam, Cuddalore and Puducherry. 20 kms from Puducherry and Villupuram with well established infrastructure facilities as per AICTE norms.

  • Auditorium: Fully air-conditioned auditorium having the seating capacity of 750 students with full sophisticated sound systems.
  • Hostel Facilities : college has well-furnished and spacious hostel separately for boys and girls inside the campus to pursue their studies peacefully. Students are provided with delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian food along with purified water.
  • Transport Facilities : College has its own fleet of 14 buses for the transport of the students and staff from various terminals of Puducherry and from Marakkanam, Cuddalore, Nellikuppam, Panruti, Neyveli, Tiruvennainallur, Villupuram, Kandacheepurm, Sedarapet, Tindivanam covering almost all the areas. Separate transport facilities has been arranged for those who remain in the college after college hours for utilizing computer and other lab, library, sports facilities etc.,
  • Computer Centre : College is facilitated with more than 250 systems in 3 full furnished modern labs with latest hardware and software facilities connected along with two server systems. Campus has 10 mbps high speed internet connectivity with Wi-Fi enabled and fully networked.

The following courses are offered by SMVPTC with intake as approved by AICTE.

The syllabus is as prescribed by DOTE.
